The event will take place on Saturday, July 15^th with 100% of the net proceeds benefiting Roots & Wings, a local non-profit that provides comprehensive support for New Jersey’s former foster care youth who have “aged out” of the foster care system. This remarkable program provides safe local housing, education, tutoring, healthcare, counseling, life skills training, career planning, groceries, transportation stipends, and much more to former foster kids who would otherwise have no resources available to them.

Roots & Wings Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that generates support through donors and various partnerships in order to provide services to local former foster care youth such as access to safe housing, education, counseling, and life skills training. Without these resources, aged out foster care youth are at extremely high risks of homelessness, unemployment, substance abuse or becoming victims of human trafficking. The dedicated and personalized support provided by Roots & Wings teaches and empowers these youths to become independent, self-sufficient and successful community members.  You can learn more about this amazing organization at www.rootsandwingsnj.org.

Registration opens at 8:30 am

Registration is $25 per person if you register by July 7, 2017 at www.runsignup.com and $35 on race day. All entrants will receive a goody bag and those who register by June 30, 2017 will receive a T-Shirt.  The course at Oak Ridge Park is USATF Certified and awards will be presented to the top 3 racers in each age category.  You can register at www.runsignup.com.
